A beautiful and creative visual composition of models flowing and dancing underwater captured by photographer Chris David with featuring music sourced and licenced from Artlist.io .
In these crazy times and more hours at home instead of the office or field I decided to revisit some of my older works and reuse them to create something new. I am by trade a photographer but slowly learning and experimenting with videography. Photographing underwater models is one of my ongoing personal projects for the past 7 year and have also amassed a series of slow motion footage from these which I decided to use. I used music licenced from Artlist.io and editing/grading from Davinci Resolve to create “Dance of the Sirens”. Editing and filming is a constant learning process for me and hoping to use what I have learned in this film and the feedback to improve future films and a major rework of this one at a later date.
The equipment used for the slow motion videos has been an Olympus TG5 as its the only underwater camera I have capable of slowmotion vs using a Canon 5DmIII.
It is compiled from slomo videos taken across a number of underwater photography sessions from the past few years and edited into this hour long artistic film for some soothing underwater ambience to enjoy.
While the photographs were captured using a Canon 5DmIII in an Ikelite Housing the videos filmed here were taken on a small secondary camera – Olympus TG5 Tough using the 120fps Slowmotion video mode.
